Alpinestars releases P-1 Sport Touring Drystar Jacket

The waterproof P-1 Drystar sport riding and touring jacket was developed for the rider that wants a sporty, all-weather jacket. It is constructed with 500D Cordura Texland Airguard fabric, which is lightweight, highly abrasion-resistant and highly breathable. It works effectively in conjunction with the membrane lining to give good weather resistance and comfort in both warm and cool conditions.

Additional features include removable CE certified soft protectors, a soft, neoprene front flap chin/neck closure for additional comfort and a waist connection zipper that allows attachment to selected Alpinestar leather and textile pants.

Ultratilt for GPS Mounting

UltraTilt is a “tipper plate” that allows riders to angle a GPS in any direction they choose. It is designed to be used with the eCaddy Deluxe electronics mount, which ensures the GPS is never going to leave the bike unless you want it to. At the same time, it’s easy to take the GPS on and off the mount. The UltraTilt’s tough “rhino” construction stands up to the vibration of any motorcycle .

The GPS mounting video is now available online. Let us demonstrate how easy it can be to mount a GPS: View our online GPS Installation Video at <www.leadermotorcycle.com>. Videos are available showing GPS mounting with and without the UltraTilt feature.

Contact < ride@leadermotorcycle.com> or 800.828.0844 for more information. Dealer inquiries welcome.

DUCATI ANNOUNCES THE 2009 GT 1000 TOURING AT THE COLOGNE SHOW

Ducati Motor Holding is proud to announce the arrival of the GT 1000 Touring to its 2009 model lineup.

Unveiled recently at the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany, the GT 1000 is ready to take on the open highways in its new touring guise. With a powerful 1000cc engine and timeless styling, the GT 1000 is a favorite of the Ducati SportClassic line. The arrival of the Touring model means the bike will now come standard with many of the accessories which many owners have been upgrading their bikes for years.

“Ducati is excited to bring the Touring edition of the GT 1000 to the North American motorcycle travel market. The GT 1000 has always been an exceptional touring bike with the addition of these Ducati performance accessories, so it only made sense to deliver a bike with them pre-installed,” says Jason Chinnock, national sales manager for Ducati NA.

Featuring a new black livery, the GT 1000 Touring gets numerous upgrades from the standard GT 1000. This includes a luggage rack and windscreen; as well as chrome front and rear fenders.

The GT 1000 touring edition will be available from March 2009. For  information visit <www.ducati.com>.
