TPXT SystemIntroducing the TPXT System

Designed with the motorcyclist in mind, the patent pending TPXT System is weather and vibration resistant and features oversized buttons for base of use with riding gloves. Its large, angled LCD display optimizes viewing from different motorcycle riding positions and its display is easily viewable in direct sunlight.

The TPXT System comes with the option of either a Wireless Headset or Visual Alert. The System alerts the rider in a safe and effective manner when radar or laser signals are detected. The Wireless Headset is designed for full and open face helmets, with its speaker attached to the inside of the helmet. When radar or laser signals are received, the System alerts the rider through beeps emitted by the Wireless Headset.
The Visual Alert is designed for riders choosing not to wear a helmet. It can be mounted to various parts of the motorcycle where the rider can easily view it, such as high up on the handlebar or on top of the instrument gauges. When radar or laser signals are detected, the bright LED lights on the Wireless Visual Alert flash to alert the rider.

Various custom mounts for the TPXT System are available to fit nearly every motorcycle on the road today, including American and metric cruisers, sport, and touring bikes. Visit www.radarforbikes.com for full details.

Willie & Max launches Revolution Series Saddlebags

WillieMax Saddle BagsRevolution’s eight new leather and 12 synthetic leather saddlebags feature a wide range of contemporary designs in either hard mount or throwover styles. The exclusive hard mount system will fit most cruisers on the market – a big plus for riders.

Revolution’s hard mount system has been incorporated into the saddlebag, so riders don’t have to purchase and install separate hardware. “These bags are very easy to install, and were designed to save riders time, money and hassle,” says Rick Mullis, Willie & Max spokesperson.

Stability is the buzzword here. The hard mount bags feature injection molded backs contoured to fit the mounting system, and rock-solid adjustable brackets and hardware. Revolution’s throwover style bags have reinforced backs to provide superior stability, as well as reinforced yokes for secure universal mounting above or below the seat. Zip-off yokes and carry handles make removal and transport a breeze.

These bags won’t lose their shape for the long haul, thanks to a durable powder coated wire frame and reinforced gussets. High-quality chrome buckles offer a quick release system for fast access to saddlebags, and front and rear snaps enhance lid security at higher speeds.

Five new synthetic leather accessory bags also are offered in the Revolution Series and include a synthetic leather tour pack/trunk bag (large and small sizes), handlebar bag, fork bag and windshield bag.

Manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) for the Revolution Series leather saddlebags ranges from $509.99; synthetic leather from $174.99; and accessory bags from $21.99.

New radial master cylinder and calipers from Brembo

Brembo Rear CaliperBrembo took the opportunity to introduce four products for the North American market at the 2008 DealerExpo, including new front and rear caliper kits and two unique master cylinders.
Brembo showcased the new 19 RCS (ratio click system) radial brake master cylinder, which allows the rider to choose between 18 or 20 mm to improve either modulation or response during braking. This feature provides a very simple adjustment that will give the optimum feel between rider, riding style, bike and circuit.

The 16RCS clutch master cylinder makes up a set with the 19RCS. The 16RCS is equipped similarly with the Ratio Click System, allowing adjustment of the feel on clutch control. Like the 19RCS brake master cylinder, this component has a forged-aluminum alloy body with
hard-anodized surface finish.

The new M4 108/100 caliper makes monobloc technology available to a wider bike enthusiast community. The new caliper can be fitted to the forks of most Japanese sport bikes. In short, the Brembo M4 is an extremely light monolithic caliper body featuring unparalleled levels of stiffness and operating precision.

Brembo also introduced a new rear caliper and bracket kit that is interchangeable with the majority of OE assemblies fitted to Japanese and European sport bike models. Machined entirely from billet, the caliper body is the outcome of exhaustive FEM calculations that optimize weight and stiffness and comes complete with sintered pads.
