Introducing the Hydratrek Amphibious vehicle

HydratrekHydratrek, LLC has unveiled its industrial duty amphibious emergency response vehicle, the Hydratrek, to the mass market. Able to maneuver into areas that have rarely before been accessible by land, Hydratrek’s vehicle can effortlessly trek up and down steep inclines, through heavy sticky mud, swamps, woodlands, earthquake zones and flood waters. There is no other amphibious vehicle on the market comparable that must be registered as both a boat and an ATV.

The Hydratrek was originally designed by two outdoor enthusiasts to be the ultimate amphibious machine that provided seamless transition from land to water for duck hunting applications. It is now labeled as the ultimate disaster vehicle for situations including: disaster response and emergency medical rescue, law enforcement, environmental research, geological surveying, mineral or energy exploration, border patrol, urban search and rescue, and outdoor recreation including hunting, fishing and marine.

The Hydratrek can be easily operated from either side or center of the vehicle, by a single set of controls, with no gears to shift. Six hydraulic wheel motors mounted in pairs on opposite sides of the vehicle create an all-wheel drive system.

It weighs only 2,500 pounds and is comprised of 100 percent aluminum. The Hydratrek will travel at 4.5 knots in water and 14 mph on land. Hydratrek’s weight capacity is 1,500 pounds on land and 1,200 pounds on water. The base model retails at $52,000.

Risk Racing launches the "Lock-N-Load" moto transport system

Risk Racing is proud to announce the launch of its latest innovative motocross product, The "Lock-N-Load" Moto Anchoring System. The Lock-N-Load securely holds your motocross bike into your trailer without the use of tie-down straps, floor anchors or wheel chocks. It takes an enormous amount of pressure off of the fork seals during transit, and it frees up valuable space allowing the transport of more motorcycles or gear.

Additionally, the Lock-N-Load can quickly be removed from the trailer floor by unscrewing the 4 thumb screws leaving only the low profile mounting plates. Each plate has a "D" ring for additional anchor points on your trailer floor.

To operate the Lock-N-Load, rotate the knobs into the lock position and simply roll or ride your bike into the trailer until your foot pegs hit the open jaws of the Lock-N-Load. Then step on the upper jaws and they will automatically lock into place. To release your bike, simply rotate the knobs into the release position and step on the top jaws. This will automatically release the jaws and free your motorcycle. For additional safety, insert the attached locking pins prior to transport.

The Lock-N-Load is designed for use with 125cc- 450cc modern motocross-specific bikes, or bikes with similar geometry regarding foot peg width and height. It weighs 14 lb and has a 18x9-inch footprint. Distributed by Risk Racing and Tucker Rocky. MSRP:$179

ITP HITS THE CIRCUIT WITH ALL-NEW QUADCROSS MX PRO TIRE
ATV motocross racers will be interested to learn that ITP has unveiled the new QuadCross MX PRO tire line. The QuadCross MX PRO has been tested and developed with the assistance of several factory teams and riders, including Team Yamaha’s Pat Brown, Team Kawasaki’s Josh Creamer and Keith Little, and Team Can-Am’s John Natalie and Cody Miller. The QuadCross MX PRO has already been a big winner, as Brown rode this tire to the 2007 Steel City AMA Pro Open Championship.

For 2008, the new QuadCross MX PRO has undergone several construction updates that have resulted in significantly better performance than the original QuadCross MX tire on hard-packed, blue-groove type motocross tracks.

Key to this improvement is a scientifically advanced rubber compound that’s been specially formulated to find traction on the slickest of surfaces for excellent acceleration and braking characteristics. Considerable laboratory time was invested to make this compound possible, with extensive field testing backing up the results.

A revised shoulder profile greatly improves cornering predictability and side bite as well, for unmatched cornering performance. The front QuadCross MX PRO uses a dual-ribbed dimpled knob pattern that steers precisely with a very light feel and reduced lateral roll.

The ITP QuadCross MX PRO is available in front 20 x 6-10 and rear 18 x 10-8 sizing. Light, fast and surprisingly durable, it’s the edge every ATV racer is looking for. And we mean every racer. This is not a limited-production tire available to only select riders at national events. At ITP, we race what we sell, and sell what we race. The QuadCross MX PRO will be found at every ITP dealer in the country.

Since 1982, ITP has grown into the world's #1 ATV aftermarket tire and wheel source, and continues to provide a complete line of innovative tires and wheel for virtually all ATVs and UTVs.
